Trinity Cinema

Trinity Cinema started in May 2024 with a free family screening of WONKA, and a further 7 films were screened over the year.

The Trinty Cinema team are continuously working to find funding and continue bringing film to the older people Llandudno.

Thanks to several funders, we were able to offer free entry and free refreshments at all our cinema screenings in 2024, which brought people of all ages together. Our films ranged from blockbuster WICKED to classics like CASABLANCA (screened in honour of The Longest Yarn Exhibition, commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings).

It is illegal to show films or TV shows in a public space without licensed permission from the copyright owner,

whether you sell tickets or allow FREE ENTRY

The cost of screening a film remains very high due to film licensing fees. A Single Title Screening Licence costs over £160, and allows you to show a film just once. This makes screening films free of charge a challenge, especially without some kind of subsidy or funding. But fear not, our intrepid volunteers are busy looking for grants, and we're planning more movie mayhem for you all to enjoy...until then, 'we'll always have Paris.'
