Trinity Cinema

Trinity Cinema has got off to a great start. We screened 8 films from May 2024 to March 2025. We are hoping to get more funding and continue bringing more movies to the community in the Autumn.

Thanks to several funders, we were able to offer free entry and free refreshments at all our cinema screenings, which brought people of all ages together. Our films ranged from blockbuster WICKED to classics like CASABLANCA, which was screened in partnership with The Longest Yarn Exhibition, commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings.

It is illegal to show films or TV shows in a public space without licensed permission from the copyright owner,

whether you sell tickets or allow FREE ENTRY

Unfortunately, the cost of delivering a film screening remains very high due to film licensing fees. A Single Title Screening Licence costs almost £200, and allows you to show a film just once.

Because of this cost, it's a bit of a challenge to screen films without some kind of subsidy or funding. But fear not, our intrepid volunteers are busy looking everywhere for grants, and we're planning more movie mayhem for you all to enjoy...until then, 'we'll always have Paris.'
